Lynda Lesser Kaiserman

KAISERMAN: Lynda Lesser Kaiserman. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lynda Lesser Kaiserman on Sept. 8, 2026. Lynda was affectionately known to her loved ones as “Mim.” Lynda lived in Squirrel Hill, but was originally from Stanton Heights and was the daughter of Morry and Roslyn Lesser. Lynda was married to Jeffrey Kaiserman, the love of her life, for 48 years. She was also the adoring mother of Max Ryan and was the dear sister of Ilene Lesser. Lynda also had a “soul sister” in Franny Zellat. Lynda was born on July 4, 1952, and for years she thought the annual fireworks display was set off to celebrate her birthday. She was a 1970 graduate of Peabody High School and she subsequently graduated from the Wheeler School of Business in 1972. Lynda began her career as the theater arts secretary for the University of Pittsburgh. She left Pitt after 30 years. Lynda also worked at the Squirrel Hill Theater for many years as the charismatic ticket taker. Lynda made many friends and was loved by her customers. Lynda enjoyed all kinds of music, from opera to Motown. She loved to sing and especially enjoyed dancing. She was an avid Pirates fan and attended all playoff and World Series games in the 1970s. Her favorite Pirate player was Willie Stargell. Lynda was an adamant activist and supporter for equal rights. Lynda’s family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses, doctors and food service employees on the eighth, 12th and ICU floors of Mercy Hospital for their extraordinary care and compassion. Friends may meet at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 11 a.m. and then proceed to Beth Abraham Cemetery of 12 noon graveside services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Lynda’s name to the charity of the donor’s choice. schugar.com PJC
