BENKOVITZ: On Tuesday, July 21, 2009, Bernard Benkovitz, beloved husband of Evelyn Soltz Benkovitz; loving father of Joseph (Deborah) Benkovitz, Rose Linda (Charles) Lebovitz, all of Pittsburgh and Reuben (Colleen) Benkovitz of Virginia Beach, VA; brother of the late Samuel Benkovitz; beloved brother-in-law of Susan Levine; beloved uncle of Samara and Rebecca Hutman; beloved brother-in-law of Renee and Gene Lichter, Marlene and George Weiss and Nadine Sales; loving grandfather of Jennifer, Sam and Zachary Benkovitz, Ben and Dan Hurwitz, Emily and Jeffrey Lebovitz and Max, Nick and Ingrid Benkovitz; also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Ave., Shadyside. Interment Beth Shalom Cemetery.
