Arrest made in deaths of two sisters

Members of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police and the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office arrested Allen Darrel Wade, 43, Wednesday afternoon on an arrest warrant for the deaths of Susan and Sarah Wolfe. Wade surrendered to law enforcement at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. He was taken into custody without incident at a bus stop at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Hawkins Street in Rankin.

Susan Wolfe, though not Jewish, was an assistant teacher to the nursery school class at Hillel Academy.

Wade was brought to the homicide office for questioning, and he will be transported to the Allegheny County Jail. He is charged with two counts of criminal homicide, burglary, robbery, access device fraud, VUFA – person not to possess a firearm and theft of a motor vehicle.
