BERGER, Joseph M. of Atlanta, formerly of Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh, passed away on Sunday, January 16 2011, at Piedmont Hospital, surrounded by his beloved wife, children and grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother Eli. Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years Betty, sons Marc A (Regina), Jeffrey S (Michie), Scott B (Beth), Keith A (Beth), grandchildren and great grand-children. Former owner of Berger Printing Company, later Artcrafts Unlimited, also a member of Printer’s Union, WWII Veteran, graduate of University of Pittsburgh School of Engineering. Active member and officer in several synagogues, and supporter of numerous Jewish schools in Pittsburgh. Funeral services were held at Shaare Torah Congregation, 2319 Murray Avenue, Pittsburgh on Tuesday January 18. Shivah took place in Pittsburgh. Contributions to be sent to Hillel Academy, Yeshiva Schools, the Kollel, Shaare Torah Congregation, or a charity of your choice. Arrangements by the family with community support and assistance through the Chevra Kadisha Jewish Burial Society of Pittsburgh.
