MENDLER: On Monday, April 6, 2009; Joan Mendler, of Latrobe, originally from Pittsburgh; daughter of the late Lillian Edelstein Pretter and Max Pretter; wife of Robert Mendler; mother of Michael (Stacy) Mendler of McLean, VA and Robert Mendler (fiancee Shelly Piper) of Derry; grandmother of David, Max, Mickey, Mitchell and Jason Mendler; sister of Betty Kuperstock and Jean Brill. Services were held in the Beth Israel Synagogue, Latrobe. Interment in B’nai Israel Cemetery, Hempfield Twp.
