KERTMAN: On Saturday, January 17, 2009, Edith (Markowitz) Kertman, 83, of Morningside; beloved wife of Irvin Kertman; mother of Joanne Polk, Julia Horton and Gail (Raymond) Kirschmann; grandmother of Aaron Engel, Rachel Jordan, Daniel Horton, Davida Horton and Drew Kirschman; great-grandmother of Tara, Jared, Connor and Jaden; sister of Betty Gruder and the late Ruth Haas, Alan Markowitz and Merle Markowitz.
