FREEDMAN: Betty Ruth (Smith) Freedman, age 89, of Wilkinsburg, formerly of Shadyside and Stanton Heights, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2017. Wife of the late Sol P. Freedman; daughter of the late Sam and Anna Smith. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Paula (Bill) Chrissis (Churchill) and Ellen (John) Goodman (San Diego); grandsons, Jason (Jennifer), Ryan (Gaynell) and Todd (Margo) Chrissis; four great-grandchildren, Luke, Jacey, Jared and Anna Chrissis; and many loving family and friends. A celebration of Betty Ruth’s life was held on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Rapp Funeral Home.
