CAPLAN: On Monday, March 2, 2009, Abe Caplan, beloved husband of Betty Ruth (Gibbons) Caplan; beloved father of Andy (Linda) Caplan of New York City, NY, Marty Caplan of Pittsburgh, Eddie (Barbara) Caplan of Fairfield, IA and Nancy (the late Ross) Shapiro of New York City, NY; beloved grandfather of Benjamin, Noah, Emily, Eric, Aiden and Emma; beloved brother of the late Sam (the late Florence) Caplan, the late Mildred (the late Hyman) Bleckman and the late Isadore (Thelma) Caplan; brother-in-law of Arthur (the late Bernice) Gibbons and the late Dorothy (the late Joseph) Genstein. Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Ave., Shadyside. Interment Adath Jeshurun Cemetery. Contributions be made to the Yeshiva Schools of Pittsburgh, 2100 Wightman St., Pgh., PA 15217.
