James Lee Soffer
SOFFER: James Lee Soffer. It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of James Lee Soffer, 77, of Pittsburgh. James was a prominent commercial real es-tate executive and director based in Pittsburgh, currently serving as the president of the Soffer Organization. He is the son of the late Jospeh and Violet (Gusky) Soffer, who were pioneering figures in Pittsburgh real estate and the founders of the Soffer Organiza-tion. Jimmy was passionate about his photography and loved his antiques and collecta-bles. He will be remembered for his soft-spoken gentle nature, kindness, as well as his sense of humor and adventurous spirit. He is survived by his longtime partner, Judy (Janie) Bentz, many cousins, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends, and employees. There will be no visitation or service at this time. Jimmy’s legacy of kindness and humor will con-tinue in the lives of all who loved him. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice in his memory.
