Suppression and Expression: A Concert Exploring Art, Mental Health, and Intergenerational Trauma by The REgenerate Music Project presents pieces resonating with the artwork of Norman Klenicki, a self-taught artist and son of Holocaust survivors. Klenicki uses his visual art to express and address the symptoms of his bipolar disorder triggered by the legacy of injuries his mother incurred at Auschwitz. Klenicki’s work is exhibited this fall in the University of Pittsburgh Scaife Hall gallery space. The concert and parking are free. Registration is requested. 7:30 p.m. 1103 Woodland Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15232. eventbrite.com/e/suppression-and-expression-tickets-2002739829743?aff=oddtdtcreator
