Stanley Markovitz
MARKOVITZ: Stanley Markovitz, 83, of Churchill died Wednesday, October 7, 2015. He was born July 23, 1932 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Aron and Mollie Jacob Markovitz. He was a member of Parkway Jewish Center in Monroeville. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. Mr. Markovitz was the retired proprietor of Baron Industries. He is survived by his wife Rosalyn B. Simon Markovitz, children, Dr. Bruce (Robin) Markovitz of Philadelphia, Lynn (Steven) Savran of Philadelphia, Richard (Diane) Rosenbaum of Gibsonia, Scott (Mindy) Markovitz of Philadelphia, Ruth (Greg Anderson) Markovitz of Renfew and Jessica (Michael) Mroz of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Brandon Savran, Michele Markovitz, Matthew Savran, Michael Markovitz, Marli Markovitz, Aaron Markovitz, Rachel Rosenbaum, Jordan Rosenbaum, Abigail Mroz, Jacob Mroz and Simon Mroz, brother, Marvin (Tootsie) Markovitz of Pittsburgh; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Markovitz was preceded in death by his siblings, Harry Markovitz, Helen Schusset, Adolf Markowitz and Samuel Markovitz. A service was held at the Jennifer S. Jordan Funeral Home, Inc., White Oak with Rabbi Moshe Russell and Cantor Henry Shapiro officiating. Interment in New Gemilas Chesed Cemetery, White Oak.
