Sister of the late Barbara (late Judah) Samet. Grandmother of Rachael, Michael (Denise), David, Yossi (Maya), Danielle, Emily, Shani, Katie, Sarah and Becca. Great-grandmother of Benjamin, Alexander and William. Shirley was a revered professor, musician, composer, director, poet, author and voice coach to generations.
