Samuru Ping Chow Smuckler Bar Mitzvah Announcement
Samuru Ping Chow Smuckler will be called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Aug. 15, 2026, at Congregation Beth Shalom. He is the witty and charismatic third installment from Elizabeth Chow and Aaron Smuckler. He attends Community Day School, where he has been active in student council. He enjoys all school subjects, especially if there is a debate that he can win. He has an older brother Benji, older sister Kimi and a younger brother Tommy. He is the grandchild of Margaret Chow and Tammie and Art Smuckler and the late Edward Chow. Sammy has a terrific sense of humor, unbelievable memory, and is always thinking three steps ahead of everyone around him. He enjoys challenging himself on the violin, competing in club soccer/futsal with his creativity and sneaky intelligence, and strategizing during card games. He loves spending time with friends, traveling, cooking creatively, eating spicy foods, and devising new ways to try to take over the world.
