Ruth Leah Steinfeld
STEINFELD: Ruth Leah Steinfeld, on Sunday, April 16, 2017. Daughter of the late Hyman and Ida Steinfeld; Sister of Honey (late Irv) Leon and the late Eddie (Sylvia) Steinfeld, Saul (Betty) Steinfeld, and Goldine (Bernie) Waxman. Cherished aunt to her many beloved nieces, nephews, and known as, “Hooie” to her great- and great-great nieces and nephews; treasured second mother to her nieces, Gale and Adi. Ruth spent her career as an assistant buyer for Gimbels and then Saks Fifth Avenue in the Designer Salon, where she dressed much of Pittsburgh earning a loyal following with her honesty, integrity, elegance, and impeccable taste. We already miss her loving, generous spirit and sense of humor. Graveside services and interment will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Beth Shalom Cemetery.
