PINSKER: On Wednesday, May 16, 2012; Rose Rudick. Beloved wife of the late Nathaniel Pinsker. Beloved mother of Marlene (Herbert) Goldstein and Theodore Pinsker. Sister of Lawrence (Bette) Rudick of Los Angeles, CA, the late Herbert Rudick and Capt. M. Alan Rudick. Sister-in-law of Allan (Fran) Pinsker of Pittsburgh and Leonore Mussoff of Rehoboth Beach, DE. Grandma Flower of Sharon Goldstein of Burbank, CA and Alan (Sarah) Goldstein of Kent, OH. Great-grandmother of Morgan, Bailey, Sam and Laurel Goldstein. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rudick was a member of the staff of the “Y” Weekly for many years, writing advance publicity for the “Y” Concert Series and the “Y” Playhouse. She had been editor for B’nai B’rith Womens bulletin, first on a chapter level, then for the combined chapters operating as B’nai B’rith Women of Pittsburgh, and was a member of BBW for over 40 years. She served as president of Tikvah Chapter, then of Tovah Chapter, prior to consolidation of the chapters. She was a member of B’Nai Israel Sisterhood and wrote publicity releases for that organization, as well as writing publicity releases for B’nai B’rith Women. Mrs. Pinsker was editor of B’Nai B’rith Women’s annual Ad Book for many years. In 1995, Mrs. Pinsker was recognized as the outstanding volunteer for B’nai B’rith Women of Pittsburgh and honored by the UJF at a community-wide tribute. When the organization’s name was changed to Jewish Women International, she negotiated a contract for the billboard which announced the new name–this was the first billboard ever displayed by this organization. Most recently she was editor of the Village Voice at Weinberg Village Assisted Living. The family would like to thank the staffs of Sivitz Hospice and Weinberg Village Assisted Living for their kindness. Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. Interment B’nai Israel Cemetery.
