Police investigating Squirrel Hill robbery
A pharmacy in Squirrel Hill was robbed Thursday night, and the perpetrator escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Sonya Toler, public information officer for Pittsburgh’s Department of Public Safety.
A black male entered the CVS at 5600 Wilkins Ave. around 8:30 p.m., and demanded money from the clerk, according to Toler. He kept both hands in his pocket as though he had a gun but did not show a weapon.
The suspect is described as possibly being in his 40s, and 6 feet 1 inch tall. He was wearing a black jacket and a white hooded sweatshirt.
Zone 4 Pittsburgh Police and the Violent Crimes Unit responded to the call, and the investigation in ongoing.
