Phyllis Levine

Phyllis Levine

LEVINE: Phyllis Levine, 91, passed away on May 21, 2015 at her home in Boca Raton, Fla. She and her husband Charles (deceased) were longtime residents of Pittsburgh, and never lost their love of the city and their passion for the Steelers. Phyllis graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh and was a member of B’nai Israel Congregation, B’nai B’rith and Hadassah. An avid bridge player and golfer, Phyllis had two holes-in-one in Florida, 10 years apart, an accomplishment written up in the local paper. She loved writing poems, enjoyed memberships in a co-ed bowling league and women’s golf league, and was in perfect harmony in the temple choir. She could be found daily, “walking the water” at her condo pool. Pink was her favorite color, which enhanced her perfect Florida tan. Phyllis was a wonderful friend and neighbor and most importantly a devoted and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was well known, well respected and well loved. She is survived by her children Bonnie, Tinton Falls, N.J. (Michael); and Harvey, Orlando, Fla. (Marie); her granddaughter Tiffany, Orlando, Fl. (Sean); and her great-grandson Jack.
