Nava Kass Bat Mitzvah

Nava Gillman Kass is the daughter of Deborah Gillman and Daniel Kass and the sister of Judah Kass. She is the granddaughter of Sarah F. Gillman and the late Rabbi Neil Gillman, as well as Rabbi Alvin Kass and the late Miryom Kass. Born in New York City, she came to Pittsburgh—and to Congregation Beth Shalom—when she was 10 months old. She is a 7th grader at Community Day School. Her favorite pastime is exploring the bookstores of Squirrel Hill. She is an artist, an athlete, and also studies piano. She will celebrate on Shabbat Parashat Noah at Congregation Beth Shalom, Oct. 29, 2022.
