Myron Joseph Berman
Berman: Myron Joseph Berman, age 85, of Cranberry Township, formally of Monroeville, died peacefully February 9, 2014, at home surrounded by his family. Devoted husband to his cherished wife of 60 years, the late Myrna (Moskowitz) Berman; loving father of Susan (Gary) Bernstein of Fishkill, N.Y.; Michael (Patty) Berman of Cranberry Twp., Pa.; and Dr. Robert Berman of New York, N.Y. Myron was also the beloved grandfather of; Jennifer (Eric) Kennett, Allison Bernstein, Joseph Bernstein and Ashley Berman, stepgrandfather of Tracy (Tom) Plevel, and step-great-grandfather of Mia Plevel. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Myron was a retired adjudicator of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Myron had a passion for history (mostly military), cruises, reading, movies, crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Myron was a member of Dallas Lodge #231 F&AM, Valley of Pittsburgh A.A.S.R, East Hills RAC #268, and the Masonic Veterans Association. Myron was a quiet and gentle man with a dry wit who possessed many unknown talents. He was a statistician who could recite on demand the players of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates for any year along with their performance stats. He could draw a cartoon in minutes that was worthy of publishing in the Sunday paper. He could tell you the cast of most any movie ever made along with the year it first aired. Myron’s devotion to his wife, family and friends will be sorely missed. No visitation. Private memorial. Memorial donations may be made to Masonic affiliated Charities at shrinershospitalsforchildren.org, the Scottish Rite’s childrensdyslexiacenters.org, or masoniccharitiespa.org. Condolences may be offered at brandtfuneralhome.com.
