HARRIS: Murray W. Harris, sadly, on Thursday, March 16, 2017. Murray, 93, of Mt. Lebanon, born and raised in McKeesport. Beloved husband for 62 years of Beverly (Schulberg). Dear father of Betsy (David) Rascoe, Andrew J. (Jill) Harris and Michael (Stephanie) Harris. Treasured grandfather of Alex, Ben, Sarah and Alana Rascoe, Nathan and Josh Harris, Hannah, Aaron and Rachel Harris. Preceded in death by his loving sisters, Charlotte (Clarence) Rosenberg and LaVerne Smith; and survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Murray was a decorated veteran of World War II and graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a master’s degree. He was the proud public relations director for the Development Corporation for Israel. He and Beverly enjoyed many years of world travel and supported the arts with a large circle of friends. Funeral service was held at William Slater II Funeral Service on Greentree Road. Interment in Temple Emanuel Section of Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
