Murray Avenue Kosher employee tests positive for COVID-19
Squirrel Hill-based grocery store shares update on worker.
Murray Avenue Kosher announced that one of its employees has been diagnosed with COVID-19. In a Facebook post dated May 1, the Squirrel Hill-based grocer noted: “This employee has not come to the store since April 24. We have been at the forefront of cleaning, sanitizing, limiting customers inside the store, requiring masks and other measures to protect both our employees and customers. We will be redoubling these efforts and adding even more sanitizing and cleaning.”
Aryeh Markovic, the store’s manager, said that the employee is home and did not require hospitalization due to the virus.
“We have been in contact with the county health department to assure that we are doing everything possible and more to keep everyone healthy,” added the post. PJC
