TREBLOW: Mordecai David Treblow, Ph.D. passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at the age of 86, after a brief illness. Mordecai was a retired chemist and university professor who was a lifelong member of the American Chemical Society, American Chess Association, AIPAC, ZOA and the Republican Party. He is survived by his wife, Sibyl Sheer Treblow of Pittsburgh; son Marshall Treblow and his wife Heidi of Melbourne Beach, Fla.; daughter Annette Ziegler and her husband Larry of Natick, Mass.; and son Rabbi Michael Treblow and his wife Della of Manchester, England. Mordecai loved spending time with his nine grandchildren, Helena, Caryn, Kevin, Nathan, Ethan, Shalom Zev, Etan Zvi, Miriam and Rina. Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. Interment Beth Shalom Cemetery. Donations may be made to Young People’s Synagogue of Pittsburgh, Yeshiva Schools of Pittsburgh or the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh.
