Lawrence S. Schneirov
SCHNEIROV: On Monday, May 9, 2011, Lawrence S.; Of Pittsburgh and Longboat Key, FL; Beloved husband of Shirley G. Schneirov. Beloved father of Barry Schneirov of Weston, FL and Susan (Doug) Decker of Old Greenwich, CT. Brother of Beatrice (David) Dobkin of West Palm Beach, FL. Grandfather of Joshua L. Schneirov, Charlie and Daisy Decker. Lawrence was an honor graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Tech in 1948. He served in WWII in the US Navy as an Electronics Specialist. He also was the President of Mechanical Contractors of Western PA as well as various other roles in the organization. Mr. Schneirov was an avid volunteer in Sarasota, FL and Pittsburgh with Russian immigrants to assimilate them with their new environment. Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. Interment Tree of Life Memorial Park.
