Kansas-based Westboro Baptist Church flaunts anti-Jewish and anti-gay signs, outnumbered by counter-protesters
The Westboro Baptist Church, a small group out of Kansas led by Fred Phelps that has become famous for protesting funerals, synagogues, and churches with signs reading “God Hates Fags” and “Jews Killed Jesus,” did just that at the Jewish Federations of North America General Assembly Monday morning in Denver. As usual, counter-protesters outnumbered the actual protesters from Westboro.
