ScreenshotHAMPTON: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judy Hampton of Fox Chapel, formerly of Monroeville, on Sunday, April 26, 2026, three months shy of her 95th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Howard Hampton. Beloved mother of Jill (Richard) Myer and Jeffrey (Jill) Hampton. Beloved sister of Linda (Ronnie) Zatman. Adoring grandmother of Lindsay, Haley, Hannah and Brian (Spencer Solit). Born on July 28, 1931, Judy was the daughter of the late Rose and Harry Cohen. Raised in Oil City, Judy graduated from Lycoming College and moved to Pittsburgh upon graduation, where she met her husband, the late Howard Hampton. Together, they settled in Monroeville, where she spent the majority of her adult life. Judy loved interacting with people, and found great pleasure working as a receptionist at an eye doctor’s office for over 30 years. During her leisure, she was a devoted daily “Jeopardy” viewer, avid reader, and enjoyed the challenge of the New York Times crossword puzzle. Judy’s greatest joy came from her family and friends, who enjoyed the many wonderful stories she enjoyed sharing, her sharp wit, and the clever poems she wrote honoring various events in their lives. Services at Temple David, 4415 Northern Pike, Monroeville, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 1 p.m. Visitation 45 minutes prior (12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m.). Interment Temple Sinai Memorial Park.
