Judah Kaushansky Bar Mitzvah Announcement
Judah Kaushansky, son of Nate and Jessica Kaushansky, will become a bar mitzvah on Saturday, Sept. 5, at Temple Ohav Shalom in Allison Park. He is the grandson of Ralph and Sandra Jones of Pleasantville, Pennsylvania and Mark and Luba Kaushansky, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Judah is a magnanimous personality and good-hearted soul. He has many passions, including Michael Jackson, dance, Godzilla, movies, music, travel, and all things tech. His joyful presence and kindness are welcomed warmly everywhere he goes. Judah is a survivor of congenital heart disease, having been born with Truncus Arteriosus. This extremely rare condition required open-heart surgery immediately after his birth, along with many other interventions including a pacemaker and tracheostomy. In 2013, he became the youngest recipient of the MAZE procedure at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Judah continues to have regular procedures and hospital stays, which have taught him patience, resilience, and strength. For his Bar Mitzvah project, he is writing a comic book for children about what to expect during and how to manage medical procedures. Judah is a remarkable young man, and his family is very proud of him.
