Jewish Federation Annual Meeting

Community members gathered at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater in East Liberty last Thursday for the 2018 annual meeting of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh. The meeting, titled “FED Talks: Ideas to Power an Inspired Community,” featured three guest speakers.

Nancy D. Zionts, chief operating officer and chief program officer of the Jewish Healthcare Foundation, accepted the 2018 Doris & Leonard H. Rudolph Jewish Communal Professional Award at the annual meeting. In addition to updating the community about Jewish Federation initiatives from 2017 to ’18, the Federation’s annual meeting was an occasion for recognizing outstanding community leaders. Cynthia Shapira was the 2018 recipient of the Emanuel Spector Memorial Award, which recognizes exemplary service to the community.
