School is back in session, and the Hillel Jewish University Center couldn’t be more thrilled.

School is back in session, and the Hillel Jewish University Center couldn’t be more thrilled. They kicked off the school year by welcoming thousands of University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University students to campus with a slew of orientation and leadership development events. The second annual Hillel Leadership Accelerator Conference provided returning students the opportunity to hone their leadership skills with the help of guest speakers from Hillel International and the Jewish community in Pittsburgh.

New students and their families were welcomed to campus by staff and student leaders at bagel brunches and other social activities. The week culminated with a Shabbat dinner hosting 245 Pitt students at the Hillel JUC and 50 students at CMU on Friday night.
