City Council to mark 45th anniversary of Six-Day War
Pittsburgh City Council will mark the 45th anniversary of the Six-Day War and re-unification of the city of Jerusalem with a reading and a presentation of a proclamation Tuesday, June 5, at 9:30 a.m. in the Council chambers, fourth floor, City County Building. According to Michael Milch, a community organizer and teacher from Squirrel Hill, “The events of those six days in June of ‘67 cause us to stop and reflect on how much the citizens of Israel sacrificed for the safety of Israel and the rebuilding of Jerusalem for all us to share in.” The event is open to the public.
