Bernard Kirshenbaum
KIRSHENBAUM: Bernard Kirshenbaum, 90, died on September 18, 2016, at his home in Shadyside, after driving himself home from the Giant Eagle. He was born in Pittsburgh and lived there his entire life. He attended Harvard College. He was an investor, a business owner, and an executive at the Ivy School of Professional Art. He read the New York Times every day and was smart, independent and generous. He was predeceased by his parents Abe and Anna Kirshenbaum, his sister Betty Charlson, his brother Morris Kirshenbaum and his longtime partner Carole Katz. He is survived by his nieces Joy Cohen, Ava Doppelt and Lyn and Susan Kirshenbaum, his nephew Adam Kirshenbaum, and their families and cousins. A memorial gathering is planned for a future date.
