Alan F. Zeilinger
ZEILINGER: Alan F. Zeilinger, age 79, was born in Pittsburgh Nov. 9, 1937, and died Nov. 15, 2016, in Moreland Hills, Ohio. For most of Alan’s career he ran his business Magic American. At Magic American, Alan created one of America’s most beloved consumer products, Goo Gone. Beloved husband of Jessie Gordon Zeilinger (nee Koch); devoted father of Jimmy (Andrea) Zeilinger of Shaker Heights, Ohio, and Michael (Laura) Zeilinger of Washington, D.C., and stepfather of Cindy (Tim) Fox Gordon and Josh (Gali) Gordon; loving grandfather of Sienna, Amanda, Brian, Julie, Carin, Arielle, Eli, Isabella, Ilana and Liam; former husband of Ethel Zeilinger; dear brother of the following deceased: Murray (Moine, deceased) Zeilinger and Rhoda (Edward, deceased) Claitman; cherished uncle. Memorial services will be held at Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple, 23737 Fairmount Blvd., Beachwood, Ohio on Wednesday, November 23 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends Wednesday following services from 4 to 8 p.m. at the residence of Jimmy and Andrea Zeilinger, 2909 Drummond Road, Shaker Heights. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Ashe Chesed Fairmont Temple Garden Fund.
