Aaron Kamens
KAMENS: Aaron Kamens, age 75, of Pittsburgh, passed away on March 22, 2017. A graveside service was held on Thursday, March 23 at Beth Shalom Cemetery, 1501 Anderson Road, 15209 at 2 p.m. Aaron was born in Philadelphia, the son of Benjamin and Sophie Kamens, on January 10, 1942. He attended Penn State University where he met his future wife, Carolyn Heller Kamens. The two were wed soon after they graduated and moved to a wonderful home in Stanton Heights, where Aaron lived the rest of his life. Aaron and Carolyn fell in love with the Jersey shore, specifically Beach Haven, N.J., and spent their summers with their children there. He will be remembered for his stories and knowledge of obscure facts, his love of Penn State football and his devotion to his family. Aaron is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Kamens, who passed in 2005. He is survived by his children, Michael and Carmel Kamens, Debby and Rich Adamo, and Mindi and Marc Feldstein. He is also survived by his future Penn State women’s basketball team of granddaughters, Amanda and Courtney Kamens, Lilly and Jennifer Adamo, and Carolyn Feldstein. He is also survived by his brother Sylan and nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation.
