William (Bill) Roy Hashinger, III

HASHINGER: William (Bill) Roy Hashinger, III died peacefully on December 10, 2014 from complications of psuedomyxoma peritonei, a rare form of cancer. He was born on November 24, 1953 in Graham, NC, to the late William Roy Hashinger Jr. and Martha Hopkins Hashinger. Beloved husband of 34 years to Joan Isenberg; unconditionally loving father of Jonathan and Leah Hashinger; brother of Jane (John) Adams; uncle of David (Tracy), Ann, and Caitlin Adams; Rachael and Emily Isenberg; Great-uncle of Caroline, Henry and Natalie Adams. Bill graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. Throughout his career at Landmarks Design Associates, Bill was known for his excellence in design and oversaw the restoration of historical buildings throughout Pittsburgh. In his childhood, he earned the nickname “Sweet Bill” for his uniquely loving, sensitive and easy-going spirit.  Bill was a world traveler, animal lover, volunteer and dedicated Pittsburgh sports fan. He was an incredibly talented artist, handyman, and golfer — earning three hole-in-ones.  Professional services by D’Alessandro Funeral Home & Crematory Ltd., Lawrenceville. A memorial service was celebrated at Dor Hadash Congregation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Western PA, Just Harvest or PMP Research Foundation.
