The lure of fresh produce beckoned locals Sunday at the new farmers’ market across the street from the Jewish Family & Children’s Service in Squirrel Hill. A project of RustBuilt, in collaboration with Citiparks, the brainchild of Pittsburgh returnee Alec Rieger, will use the parking lot behind the former Gullifty’s Restaurant every Sunday until Nov. 23. Offerings included flowers from Edible Earth Farm, strawberries from the Dillner Family Farm, kohlrabi and Swiss chard from Who Cooks for You, and basil.
