Sondra “Sandy” Sheila Barad
BARAD: Sondra “Sandy” Sheila Barad, age 73, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully Sept. 6, 2026, following a long battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 24, 1952, in Pittsburgh, to Harry and Pauline (Siegal) Barad. Sandy graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School in Pittsburgh in 1970. She proudly worked over 30 years as a pharmacy technician at Montefiore and Presbyterian Hospitals in Pittsburgh. Sandy is survived by her foster sisters, Donna, Shelley and Lisa Tamres, and by many cherished and loving friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Maxon Towers Apartments, 6315 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217, in the Community Room. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to either Hillman Cancer Center or Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh.
