Messages from exhibit sent to Western Wall

Prayers like these, which were stuck in the crevices of a replica Western Wall at a 2006 Duquesne University history exhibit, have since been transferred to the real deal in Jerusalem. According to Duquesne spokeswoman Karen Ferrick-Roman, nearly 7,000 prayers were transferred. The replica was part of an exhibit titled “A Blessing to One Another: Pope John Paul II and the Jewish People,” which explored through photos, video footage, documents and artifacts the contributions of the late pope to Catholic-Jewish relations.
