YOUNG: Merlene S. Young, age 84, tragically on Saturday, July 2, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Ralph Young. Loving mother of Carol (Steve) Goldman of Philadelphia and Amy (Rob) Brodsky of Baltimore. Sister of the late Dr. Marvin Sniderman. “Grammy Lene” of Ryan and Michael Goldman and Max and Brett Brodsky. Aunt of Abby S. Milstein (Howard) and their son, Michael. Also survived by many dear friends. Merlene was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. She went on to become a loving teacher in the Pittsburgh area for many years. She was a lifetime member of Hadassah. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother with a giving and warm personality who always cared for everyone else. Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. Entombment Beth Shalom Cemetery. Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. schugar.com
