Local Jewish author announces new book on ‘enlivening consciousness’
“The last section of the book on ‘Spirit’ has lots of Judaism sprinkled throughout."
Dr. Elisa Haransky-Beck of Monroeville, who has been practicing functional, behavioral and developmental optometry since 1987, recently published “Enlivening Consciousness: Deepening Your Journey through Vision,Movement, Nutrition, Nature, and Spirit” (Balboa Press).
Haransky-Beck was awarded a master’s degree in spiritual nutrition by Rabbi Gabriel Cousens in February 2019. The degree and her accompanying thesis were “a major inspiration” for writing this book, she said. Her thesis “was on the range of veganism — from junk food veganism to raw living foodism.”
“The last section of the book on ‘Spirit’ has lots of Judaism sprinkled throughout,” she added.
The book is only available through Balboa Press. PJC
