JFilm cover a disgrace

I felt compelled to write to you after receiving a JFilm brochure in the mail.

Growing up in a household where we spoke Yiddish, I found the cover of this JFilm brochure to be very offensive. I was shocked and appalled that any committee would approve this cover. The choice of wording on the cover to

describe a wonderful event like the [JFilm Festival] was vulgar and in poor taste. There is no excuse for choosing such wording, and I am thankful that I did not have to translate and explain these Yiddish words to my grandchildren. They certainly would not have been permitted to speak that way in English.

It is embarrassing for anyone who does not speak Yiddish to have this cover translated. I am not a prude, and I do have a sense of humor, but is this really the Yiddish we want our children to hear or learn? Yiddish is a beautiful language. Too bad it was not used that way to introduce these fine films.
