Decades of guidance from a true master coach
Coach Al Rose was not only the masterful coach of the JCC Sailfish for nearly 70 years; he also was the coach of the JCC Masters for over 50 years (“Still on deck: At 87, Coach Al Rose finds joy in every stroke,” Nov. 14).

For more than 40 years I have benefited from his coaching, attention to detail, psychology and social awareness. Adam Reinherz’s article was excellent as always, and skillfully described the comprehensive excellence of Coach Rose.

Of course, Coach Rose is still coaching. It is in his soul. He is a master in every sense of the word.
