‘Holy Rollers’ next film in Jewcy Series
The Jewcy Series, a program of JFilm: The Pittsburgh Jewish Film Forum, will next screen the movie “Holy Rollers,” a selection of the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, Saturday, Aug. 28, 9 p.m., at SouthSide Works Cinema.
“Holy Rollers” is about a Brooklyn youth from an Orthodox Jewish community who is lured into becoming an Ecstasy dealer by his friend who has ties to an Israel drug cartel.
Jewcy is a film series programmed with young adults in mind, but all moviegoers are welcome.
An after-party for ages 21-35 only will be held at the Over The Bar Bicycle Cafe, 2518 E. Carson St., following the screening.
