GREENBERG: On Monday, June 17, 2013, Herman D. (Hank) Greenberg; Beloved husband of Dorothy Dresbold Greenberg and the late Marilyn (Mally) Rosenfield Greenberg. Loving father of Ellen (Howard) Garrison. Step-father of Joel (Amy) Dresbold, Cherie Koslow and Michelle Dresbold. Brother of Eraline Goldstein, the late Rose Bovitch, Florence Gettleman, Sylvia Greenberg and Dorothy Levine. Brother-in-law of Marilyn Brody. Grandfather of Rachel Garrison and David Garrison. Step-grandfather of Elizabeth (Jared) Clarkson, Benjamin Koslow, Lyle (Cathy) Dresbold, Seth Dresbold and Cara Dresbold. Also survived by nieces and nephews Paul Gettleman, Ronna (Larry) Neft, Joel (Linda) Goldstein, Louis (Karla) Levine, Todd (Lisa) Levine and Jodi (Bert) Davis. Hank joined Westinghouse as a lab assistant in 1943 and rose through professional management positions in the fields of materials engineering and advanced manufacturing development.  Among his achievements was directing the manufacture of the time capsule for the 1964-65 New York World’s Fair.  He also published more than two dozen technical articles and was active in numerous professional societies.  Following his retirement, he served as an instructor for Carnegie Mellon’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering and directed the industrial internship program for undergraduate students.  Hank also held positions of leadership in the Jewish community with such organizations as B’nai Brith and the United Jewish Federation, which included serving as President of Temple Sinai and for years on its Board of Directors.
