The Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh, in partnership with the Squirrel Hill Health Center, is providing free COVID-19 testing from noon to 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 11 and on the evening of Nov. 17. Testing will occur at the Squirrel Hill JCC. No doctor’s note, prescription, insurance or symptoms are required. Those interested in receiving a free COVID-19 test must register at alleghenycovidtesting.com.
Jason Kunzman, JCC’s Chief Program Officer, credited the JCC with providing critical resources during a trying period.
“The JCC continues to identify and respond to the most pressing community needs,” said Kunzman. “We will again transform our facility to meet the emerging public health crisis and provide our friends at the Squirrel Hill Health Center with an indoor facility to conduct COVID-19 testing.”
Throughout the pandemic, the JCC has aided the Greater Pittsburgh community. Since March, the JCC has hosted multiple blood drives, which have helped more than 3,440 patients; conducted more than 8,646 telephone wellness checks with isolated senior citizens; served or delivered more than 44,100 meals; and supported working parents by providing on-site activities for children.
