Dennis Robert Goldenson

GOLDENSON: Dennis Robert Goldenson, age 82, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026. Surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chicago to the late Herbert and Florence Goldenson. Beloved husband of 51 years to Jennifer Goldenson. Loving father of Naomi Goldenson. Dennis is survived by his brother Fred (Sandy) Goldenson. Uncle to Jeff (Melissa) Goldenson, Janet (Steve) Aug. Dennis received a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University, then went on to receive his master’s and Ph.D. in political science from the University of Minnesota. During his career, Dennis spent over 30 years at Carnegie Mellon University in the Software Engineer Institute. Dennis served as the president of the Men’s Club at Beth El Congregation. He also served as a past president of the South Hills chapter of B’nai B’rith. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Beth El Congregation, 1900 Cochran Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15220.
