We asked our readers which classic Shavuot treat wins their vote. Here's what they said.
Last week, the Chronicle asked its readers in an online poll the following question: “Which classic Shavuot treat wins your vote?” Of the 173 people who responded, 52% said cheesecake; 24% said blintzes; 15% said kugel; 2% said bourekas; and 7% said “other,” specifying different dishes, including ice cream and lasagna. Comments were submitted by 19 people. A few follow.

My mother’s (z”l) cheesecake was the best. I have her recipe, but like all recipes we get from our mothers, it is good, but whatever she did was better! My brother says it is because of her extra ingredient: mom’s love!
