Barry I. Faigen

FAIGEN: Barry I. Faigen passed away on Dec. 3, 2025, at 71 years old, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was a cancer warrior. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rita L. Faigen and Seymour Faigen. He was the loving husband of Debra Susan Eisner for 45 years and the father of Bobby (Ariella) Faigen, Seth (Leba) Faigen, and Matthew (Elyssa) Faigen. He was the brother of Howard Faigen. He was the Zaide of Donny, Elisha, Nava, Hannah, Avi, Eva, Dovi, Izzy, Reva, Gabey, Sophie and Lilly. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Barry was a CPA and volunteered for many community organizations, including Hillel Academy, where he served as president for two separate terms, Yeshiva Schools, CDS, B’nai Emunoh, Poale Zedeck, Chabad, Our Giving Kitchen and UJF, and he was a mentor to many. He completed the Talmud with the two Daf Yomi cycles and had Chavrusas daily. He cared deeply about his friends and will be remembered by everyone who knew him. We would like to thank his wonderful doctors at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, Drs. Zahra Kelly, Jan Drappatz, Adam Olsen, Dennis Stall and all of the staff on 2 south at Shadyside Hospital.
