Ruth Drescher was the keynote speaker at Seton Hill University’s annual Kristallnacht Remembrance Interfaith Service.

Ruth Drescher was the keynote speaker at Seton Hill University’s annual Kristallnacht Remembrance Interfaith Service.

Local child Holocaust survivors Shulamit Bastacky and Yolanda Willis joined Drescher for the program sponsored by the National Catholic Center for Holocaust Education and the Office of Campus Ministry at Seton Hill.

Participants lit six candles for the 6 million Jews killed during the Holocaust. Drescher and her family escaped from Germany on a Dutch passenger ship in 1939.
