Chronicle poll results: Out-of-state primaries

We asked our readers if they are following primary races in other states. Here's what they said.

Last week, the Chronicle asked its readers in an online poll the following question: “Are you following primary races in other states?” Of the 233 people who responded, 90% said yes and 10% said no. Comments were submitted by 54 people. A few follow.

I watch every state! I have been doing this since the 1948 election. I am a political junkie. I also love history.

As a lifelong proud liberal Democrat, I am appalled at the direction the party is heading. The surge in DSA candidates, who all seem to be anti-Israel and antisemitic, is very concerning.

Americans need a Democratic takeover ASAP.

For sure elections across our country have always been important. The upcoming elections throughout this country may be among the most important in our lifetime.

I was stressing out over the close win by the anti-Zionist Abdul El-Sayed in the Michigan Democratic primary. It ruined my week.

I believe the Democrats in Michigan have just given the Republicans a senatorial win.

Certainly! It is critical that the Democrats wrest control of the House, and hopefully the Senate, from the party of Trump, the party that has allowed him to hurl a wrecking ball at our people and our system of governance.

I am extremely nervous about the direction of the Democratic Party. I can’t even think of “exchanging” support of Israel for congressional majorities.

I am very concerned that pro-Trumpers are terrible for the U.S., and the progressive Democrats are against anything relating to supporting Israel. For me, Israel is my top priority for the House and Senate.

I’m more concerned with the local races, as they are the ones I can do something about.

I believe that our country is going through a strategic revolution that will destroy us from within. Jews beware. Those who conspire against America have no use for Jews — no matter how educated and elite you are. Once your support is successful in contributing to their new world order agenda, your standing is void.

While I concentrate on the races here in Pennsylvania, I would like a Jewish organization made up of Jewish activists to follow the races across the United States so I can get an honest report of what is happening across the nation instantly. It takes time I don’t have to follow each race.

It’s too late. My country is lost. PJC
