High Holiday Food Drive nets big gains
The Squirrel Hill Community Food Pantry reported significant contributions from area congregations through this year’s High Holiday Food Drive.
According to its electronic newsletter The Pantry has received more than 6,300 pounds of food resulting from the Drive, with Rodef Shalom Congregation bringing in 3,272 pounds; Adat Shalom, 846 pounds; Temple David, 605 pounds; Beth El Congregation of the South Hills, 507 pounds; Congregation Beth Shalom, 412 pounds; Temple Sinai, 308 pounds; and Shaare Torah, 71 pounds.
The Pantry is still accepting donations at its Hazelwood Avenue location in Greenfield.
