Happy Birthday
National Council of Jewish Women Pittsburgh Section (NCJW) kicked off its 43rd annual NCJW Designer Days sale with its annual Patron Event, Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Monroeville Convention Center.
This year’s theme, “We’ve Come a Long Way Ladies,” celebrated 120 years of NCJW’s service to the Pittsburgh community.
Among this year’s designers were Kiya Tomlin, Kelly Lane, Emy Mack and Sandra Cadavid.
Proceeds from the Patron Event and the entire weekend will support NCJW’s efforts to better the lives of women, children and family through advocacy and many nonsectarian community service projects.
NCJW recently launched the Center for Women to ensure that women in the community are able to achieve and maintain economic independence and self-sufficiency. Center for Women programs and initiatives increase financial literacy, build career-related skills, connect women with mentorship and internship opportunities and provide referrals to additional support services.
Honorary chair for the Patron Event was the fashion designer Tomlin; Bear Brandegee was the Patron Event chair; and Henry Krakovsky served as the chair for the entire Designer Days.
